ECTS (European Community Course Credit Transfer System) grading scale.
Narvik University College uses two different grading systems:
1. "Pass - Fail"
The assignment requirements which must be met in order to take the examination are usually graded
as "Approved - Not approved".
2. From the autumn term of 2002 the University College changes from "figure scale" to the
"letter scale" in order to conform to the new Quality Reform.
The following grades were adopted at Norwegian College Board Meeting 4 / 2002 :

The Head of Department at each Institute is responsible for preparing the necessary guidelines for
the external examiners in each subject.
Queries concerning the examination results must be addressed to the teacher responsible for the subject.
