International Students’ Union of Norway National Assembly
Everybody are cordially invited to participate in International Students' Union of Norway National Assembly (NA ii09) that is taking place in Narvik from 30th of October to 1st of November 2009.
During the National Assembly, we hope to further discuss our concerns, priorities, challenges, success stories, and establish strategic steps to ensure better democratic representation at each of our 13 local branches. ISU will be electing a new leadership and further strengthen ties with our partners: Studentenes Landsforbund (StL), Norsk Studentunion (NSU), Studentenes og Akademikernes Internasjonale Hjelpefond (SAIH) and Utviklingsfondet Ungdom (Spire). We would like to take this opportunity to thank Høgskolen i Narvik, the student parliament, other partners and friends for their support and for their financial assistance, says Ilya Sizov, representing ISU.
Pål Espen Bondestad, President of the Student Parliament in Narvik, says The Student Parliament in Narvik (SPiN) are looking forward to have ISUs National Assembly here in our city. The international students are very important to both Narvik University College, as well as to the student life on this campus. This is the first time the National Assembly is held in Narvik, and I hope ISU is satisfied with our campus and the wide range of activities they can take part in just outside the campus buildings.
In addition to welcoming ISU to Narvik I also must say I am very glad our government found a way to make life easier for the quota students, which we have many of here in Narvik. For too long this has been a major problem for our foreign students.
